Joua Spillman, co-founder of Haus Haven Collective, a company dedicated to helping individuals live safely, independently, and innovatively within their own spaces. With a decade of clinical experience, Joua has worked closely with individuals navigating neurological conditions, chronic illness, acute injuries, musculoskeletal limitations, and age-related changes. Through years of patient advocacy and meaningful outcomes, Joua has helped hundreds of individuals safely return home from the hospital—an experience that revealed her true passion: improving quality of life beyond the hospital bed.
Many individuals struggle not because of their abilities, but because their homes are not designed to support the way they live. Haus Haven Collective was born from a goal that bridges the gap between clinical care and the comfort of home, blending healthcare expertise with thoughtful home design and functional living.

A comprehensive home safety assessment is completed to identify potential hazards and recommend personalized equipment, home modifications, and accessibility solutions—from simple, non-permanent products to full renovations.
Based on the assessment, we coordinate the recommended home modifications, adaptive equipment, and durable medical equipment (for purchase or rental) so your home is ready before you return.
Once everything is in place, we provide hands-on education and training to ensure you and your caregivers feel confident using the equipment and modifications safely.
When additional support is needed, we connect you with trusted community resources, including outpatient therapy, home health, support groups, and other specialty services.
Our goal is simple: to reduce the risk of falls, injuries, and hospital readmissions while creating a safer home that promotes independence, confidence, and long-term success for both you and your family.
